In this course we will cover both the A+ 220-901 and 220-902 exam objectives. In 220-901 we will be focusing on the hardware components and their importance, understanding networking and the protocols involved in networking, learning about the different mobile devices, and finally troubleshooting and fixing hardware and networking issues. In 220-902 we will be focusing on Windows Operating Systems (Vista, 7, 8 and 8.1), other operating systems (Linux, Mac, and Android), security standards and practices, troubleshooting software issue, safety procedures, addressing prohibited content and activity, and finally proper communication and professionalism techniques. In the course you will receive some hands on experience, lecture, practice exams, and study material to prepare you to pass both exams and receive your A+ certification.
Please note: It is recommended that students have some experience in computer repair before taking this prep class. Time will be allotted for students to take the certification exams at the LFCC Test Center during class time. However, students will be responsible for registering for and paying for the certification tests individually online. The instructor will guide you through this registration process in class, however this certification cost is separate from the cost of the class.
