Do something different this summer: attend the first ever Junior Ranger Camp! This Park Ranger-led adventure guarantees to be fun-filled! Hike to an old homesite, observe animals in their natural habitat, uncover human stories of the past, and discover wildlife all around you as you explore woods and trails. Learn and practice Leave No Trace. Hone your problem solving and critical thinking skills. During your amazing adventure, you'll be learning about your nearby national park and becoming a Shenandoah National Park Junior Ranger by earning your Junior Ranger badge!

Please read:  Ages: 10-14. The camp will be based at Dickey Ridge Visitor Center in Shenandoah National Park. Instructors are Shenandoah National Park Education Staff. STUDENT INFORMATION FORM: Parent or Guardian must bring the student to the first class for additional information. Please print out and complete the Youth Camp Student Information form and bring the completed form to the first class. If your child has a medical condition that requires special care or requires a learning accommodation, this form must be brought or mailed to the Workforce Solutions Office a minimum of a week prior to the class. Some classes may also require that student and parent/guardian complete the Student Conduct Form and Assumption of Risk at the first class.
