Common medical terminology is a critical part of the language used by healthcare practitioners. Learning medical terminology can assist you in interacting with healthcare professionals in the workplace, when studying for a career in healthcare, or just wanting to be more involved and educated on your own healthcare. This course teaches medical terminology from an anatomical approach. Root terms are divided by each body system and are combined with prefixes and suffixes. This entry-level class will give you the tools necessary for understanding the common words used in medical settings. Due to the current situation, a portion of this course may use online components. Therefore, computer/internet access is required! If you have an interest in working in a medical field, this a great class to kickstart your career!
