This course provides an overview of the history of pharmacology and the day to day responsibilities of a pharmacy technician in hospital and retail pharmacy settings. Common drugs and their uses, as well as how they are administered and possible interactions in the body are described. Patient confidentiality laws, including HIPPA and prescription regulations, such as who can prescribe medication are also discussed.
