Virginia Tradesman Education Requirement

Journeymen and Master Gas Fitters are required by the Virginia Board of Contractors to take (1) hour of continuing education specific to their trade as part of the licensing renewal process.

This Continuing Education class will cover the following topics as they relate to Gas Fitting:

new definitions
code changes
general requirements
impacts on the job
general use
special equipment included in the respective codes.

All classes are recognized by the Commonwealth of Virginia’s Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation and the Virginia Board of Contractors.

Certificates of Continuing Education Units (CEUs) will be issued to all Virginia tradesmen upon successful completion of the class. A workbook highlighting the changes is included in the cost of each class and will be distributed when participants arrive for class.

Please read: This class normally meets immediately after the CET for Plumbing class. If you are taking just the Gas Fitter class, you are encouraged to arrive 30 minutes early.Tradesman taking this class will be required to provide their TRADESMAN license number when they sign in for this class. The number is used as part of the DPOR registration requirements to insure you receive the proper credit for taking the class.
